LATE SUMMER SOCIAL WALK - ALL WELCOME
The club is once again organising a social walk which this time starts at 5.30 pm on Friday 2nd September from Melbourne Church in Pool Street off Church Street .
As you enter Melbourne centre from Swadlincote, Church St is right at the wooden bus shelter in the town centre.
The walk is being led by Paul Mckay on a route that is about 7 miles so may take about 2.5 hours. It goes through the lovely village of Wilson , onto the Cloud Trail then a short detour to the even more picturesque hamlet of Tongue then a climb up to Breedon Church before a rural route back to Melbourne . Hopefully, there will be time to slake our thirst in a pub in Melbourne , but as Paul is not familiar with any of the pubs he is open to suggestions.
No need to book for this event just turn up at the appointed time.
