12 South Derbyshire Road Runners competed in the Belvedere 10k Race. Leading home the group in position 41 in a time of 40:37 was Chris Gunstone, who is putting in a string of good performances of late. Following Chris home was Paul McKay – position 57 – time 42:06. This again is an excellent performance for someone just entering the Vet 60+ male age group. Next scorer home for the club was Steve Fowler – position 77 – time 45:07, who is slowly working his way back to form and fitness. Rob Lower was the next finisher – position 94 – time 46:27. Trevor Rickman was close behind – position 103 – time 47:14.  Colin Topliss followed in position 123 – time 48:55.

The next group of runners home was a real family affair. Mum and Dad Moore were there to pace their daughter Melanie Moore in her first 10k race for the club. Melanie finished in position 210 – time 59:20 setting a new break personal best and beating  her personal target of 60 minutes. Mum, Inge Moore was position 212 – time 59:22 and Dad, Malcolm – position 213 – time 59:23. Felicity Towns was next home making a welcome return to racing and can be pleased with her position 220 and time 61:17.

The Club Secretary, Roger Barraclough put another fine performance for him to finish in position 225 – time 63:32. Mike Harley finished in position 231 – time 66:20.
